On May 18, Ambassador Zhao Xing met with Chairman Haji Sayed Mohammad Karim Hashemi of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment(ACCI). Both parties exchanged views on China-Afghanistan trade and economic cooperation.

Chairman Sayed expressed appreciation to China’s long-standing support and assistance to Afghanistan, and reaffirmed his willingness to further strengthen trade with China and contribute to the growth of friendly relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Zhao briefed the ACCI on China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the progress in China-Afghanistan practical cooperation. Ambassador Zhao also said that China stands ready to enhance cooperation with Afghanistan in such areas as trade and investment to support Afghanistan’s economic reconstruction and secure win-win outcomes.
